Pastor Bob joined the leadership of the Congregational Methodist Church to immerse in the ministry that has developed in the villages in Belize. CMC Missions Director Jacob Windham led the leaders from the CMC, along with representatives from several Annual Conferences, on a tour of Orange Walk, Belize, to witness the incredible ministry that is taking place there. Pastor Alberto has done a fantastic job of serving the villages of Orange Walk and developing strong leaders to help serve the people of Belize.
While there, Pastor Bob was introduced to the ministry, led by Pastor Manuel Guardado, called Children’s Cup. The ministry provides six Care Points around Orange Walk and Belize City to serve the children of those communities. The areas served are subjected to prostitution and substance abuse, so many of these children do not receive the care they need. At each Care Point, the children are provided a nutritious lunch, a Bible lesson, and an opportunity to praise God.
In addition, the CMC recognized Pastor Manuel's credentials and ordained Pastor Immer Torres. Both will serve as elders in the CMC and Fountain of Life Church. Immer has completed his course of study with the CMC and enrolled in Wesley Biblical Seminary, receiving a full scholarship as an international student. The future is bright for Immer.
Pastor Bob is excited about what God is doing in Belize and looks forward to sharing the mission of the CMC there with Hopewell Church and the Mid-Atlantic Annual Conference at their meeting in March. To support the ministries there, go to Children's Cup or https://www.cmcmissions.com
