I am a Retired US Navy Seabee as of 02 August 1990. In 1992 my family and I moved to the Richmond Virginia area. I have been married to my wife Robin for over 41 years. Together we have three adult children and eleven grandchildren. We are truly blessed. I have been working as a locksmith since retirement from the Navy.
In 2007 I volunteered with Northshore Disaster Recovery (United Methodist) in Slidell, LA for Hurricane Katrina. Little did I know this was God’s plan to rebuild me as a follower of Christ and later a leader to plant the seed for others to follow. This became an awakening for the love of Jesus. In 2008 I joined the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour (LCOS). During my membership at LCOS, I held many positions on the council and was an assistant minister. Over the years I have served on several disaster relief missions with other churches and Christ in Action (CIA). I joined Christ in Action in 2017. Through CIA I completed classes that include Assisting Individuals in Crisis, Pastoral Care Techniques, and Lay Chaplaincy Services.
In 2020 Robin and I found a new Church home at Hopewell United Methodist Church. We became members in October 2021. Since joining the church, I participated in the following: Lay Reader, the Men’s Bible Study Group, the Men’s Group, and the adult Sunday School. I also completed the Safe Sanctuaries Training. As you can see, I feel like I can never give enough back for all the Blessings I have received. Currently, I am serving as the Lay Leader for Hopewell Methodist Church. I will continue to help fulfill the mission and vision of the Hopewell Methodist Congregation and Church Family.
