The people there knew His family, His background, and His trade. They thought they knew exactly who Jesus was. But their familiarity became a barrier to faith. They were astonished by His wisdom and His works, yet they could not see beyond the Jesus they thought they already knew.
In “The Jesus You Think You Know,” we consider a challenging question: Is it possible to know a great deal about Jesus and still fail to truly see Him?
This message explores the danger of allowing assumptions, familiarity, and personal expectations to shape our view of Christ. Mark invites us to see Jesus not as we imagine Him to be, but as He reveals Himself in Scripture—and then to decide how we will respond.
